Dodging counterfeit electronic components is far more difficult than in the past

Tom Adams, vice-president of the SMT Corp, has just published a six page article with the above title in the Medical Electronics Design website. He mentions the obvious threat of counterfeit components in medical products to patient safety. Images of suspected counterfeit components are included, although these are general images rather than specific examples of counterfeit components found in the medical industry.
