Homeland Security Official: Some Foreign-Made Electronics Compromise Cyber security
ChipCheck has just come across a  news item mentioning a type of counterfeit electronic component that hasn't been created for illegal profit but rather has been deliberately produced  in order to allow cyber-attacks! A top Department of Homeland Security official acknowledged that some foreign-made components in American electronic devices have been found to be predesigned to allow cyber-attacks. Again, and controversially for the US government and its defence departments, the issue is the security of the supply chain and how the components got in.
