Fake Apple Shop found in China!

ChipCheck’s focus is on detection of counterfeit electronic components. But after reading the news entry in The Telegraph and the original blog entry, ChipCheck just had to share here:

A blogger in China has apparently discovered a fake Apple Store located in Kunming, south western China. The shop has in-store branding and even furniture that looks very similar to that which would be in a genuine Apple Store. Apart from the poorer finish of the shop another give away is that the shops signage says “Apple Store” and Apple only ever uses the glowing, iconic fruit without any accompanying text on its signage.

Interestingly, according to the blogger, the staff in the shop all genuinely think that they work for Apple.
