An interesting article issued by Trace Laboratories was released on smtnet.com yesterday titled "Understanding the risk of counterfeit electronic components". Again its another article that gives an overview on the counterfeit component problem and the subject matter will be familiar to regular readers of this blog. In addition though, there is a summary on performing the actual risk assessment and a good list of references.
