EU firms to feel heat from US counterfeit laws?

The US laws that have been recently passed concerning counterfeit electronics are likely to lead to European manufacturers having to overhaul their supply chains.

As a result of the new laws, the US government is forbidden from purchasing any system found to be using counterfeit components.

Contractors who work in the military will therefore need to make sure their supply chains are verified and authenticated or risk losing their contracts with the government. This has huge ramifications not only for US companies but European companies too.
