Counterfeit Electronic Components Avoidance Workshop 25th June, Portsmouth, UK

A Counterfeit Electronic Components Avoidance Workshop has been organised by Component Technology Institute (CTI), Inc. This will be held on the 25th June 2012, in Portsmouth, UK. It will cover the latest techniques to detect counterfeit components and the workshop will discuss practices to avoid counterfeits and combat this problem.     Fuses suppliers, capacitors are being counterfeited....?

    1. We recently got hold of some counterfeit capacitors and performed X-ray and destrcutive tests. We found that inside the original casing there was a smaller capacitor inserted and of course with completely inferior parameters - e.g. lower voltage and capacitance!
